Psychological Principle Programmes

Our programmes are underpinned by our core psychological principles.

Our Psychological Principles are contextualised to the a variety of different contexts. Young people are more likely to show positive behaviour and cultural change within a school setting if they can contextualise and picture exactly where and how to apply our principles in a simple way.

The beauty of psychological principles lies in their adaptability; they can be seamlessly integrated into your PE curriculum, whether it is skill-based or concept-focused, to achieve outstanding results. These principles act as a powerful tool to enhance your existing programs.

Simple Four Step Process

Example Principle

The best implementation is always a whole school approach!

Our videos are designed to be consumed by a wide range of ages across the school, to encourage a cultural adoption of healthy personal development.

On their own they are fantastic, but when used as the foundations of a whole school personal development strategy... they are outstanding!

Nick Rose’s research underscores the importance of optimising both retrieval and storage strengths in students memory. His findings suggest that allowing students to forget information before prompting them to retrieve it significantly boosts their long-term retention.

“As the retrieval strength of a memory declines over time, there’s a bigger gain in storage strength when we try to retrieve it.” (Rose, 2018)

To implement this effectively, we recommend a weekly - fortnightly whole-school focus, repeated annually for every year group. Introducing each principle within the tutor programme, developing understanding in core PE and then reinforcing it across all subjects.

This approach provides students with multiple opportunities to retrieve each principle from their long-term memory and embedding them into their daily habits, thereby enhancing retention and ensuring lasting mastery by the end of their school journey.

Make Them Bespoke to Your School

Each principle can also be further enhanced and made bespoke to your school through custom made videos that are designed to include specifics such as; your school logo, core values and beliefs, key terminology or phrases familiar to your students and anything else you think would support your students to apply our principles to their education.
